I happened to pop by Slope‘s Upcoming IPOs page and was pleasantly surprised to see so many entries.
Curious, I clicked on the Description link for one of the companies and saw this:
In fact, three of them – – those with “acquisition” in their names – – were blank check companies. That’s the state of the world today: it’s like 1999, when everyone is so eager to be involved in the stock market, they don’t even need an idea or a company anymore. Just an empty slot to fill with…..something.
Oh, WeWork, You have really let us down.
