I found this kind of fascinating. Here is the SPY shown with its 30-day IV rank. This relative rank of volatility went roaring higher late in February, and it kept banging up around the 100 level for the first half of March. Although these days it seems topics like revenues, profits, growth, and management are all kind of quaint to even consider when valuing a stock, we’ll allow for the possibility that some of this data actually still matters. I thus present to you this week’s earnings calendar, as we are ramping up to the heaviest portion of the reporting cycle.
