One year ago, I wrote about a stock named Silvergate (symbol SI) which I described as “one of the very, very few stocks I think is in a legitimately bullish pattern.” At the time, that was true:
Early in January, I did a follow-up with a post called Tarnished Silvergate (heh) in which I pointed out the failed bullish breakout.
Let’s just say that was a good call, since the stock has turned into rat poo ever since, now that the crypto scam is starting to show how valueless crypto is.
It just goes to show how technical analysis is just as useful for highlighting failed patterns as it is highlighting patterns in the first place.
