Cereal Killer

I’m way past the phase of my life when I browse the cereal aisle, but this is mildly interesting:

I was reminded of a commercial I saw about a million times when I was a kid.

And THAT reminded me of another commercial I also saw a million times.

Even as a child, I took the notion that the number of licks required to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop as a personal challenge, so one day I took a grape one and licked it 836 times until I reached the center. I wrote to Tootsie Roll Industries and, to their everlasting credit, they sent me a certificate to commemorate my intrepid effort.

A 15 cent expense on their part imbued me with a lifelong love of the company.
