I offer the following sad news from beloved Sloper Iggy…….
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I let everyone know that our beloved friend Taz (Kevin Koeberle) passed away this morning after a 2 year (28 month) battle with brain cancer.
Mrs. Ig and I were fortunate enough to meet him and his wife Julia as they invited us to their home for a wonderful evening together while we were in Florida in February of 2011. It was a mere two months later that he called me as Julia was driving him to the hospital due to slurred speech. Shortly thereafter, the diagnosis was made.
The path was a difficult one for him, but he battled and fought harder than anyone I’ve ever known. He was upbeat and in good spirits every time I spoke with him online or on the phone even through the most aggressive treatments the doctors could throw at him.
I will always smile when I think of our good friend. He will be missed.
