Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. I decided that was no earthly way I was ever going to categorize my thousands of posts, so I took the less ambitious task of categorizing starting in late May. I've still got the most recent couple of weeks to go, but the categories are really starting to shape up. Here's what you'll see if you scroll down on the right column:
The size of the link suggests how many entries are there, and clicking a category name reveals, in reverse chronological order, the posts that belong to that category.
I don't know if I'll do an other post or not today – – there's not one whole hell of a lot more to say about the market that hasn't already been said. I feel heartened that I actually made some headway today in my portfolios, in spite of the market's modest end-of-the-day rise.
Regular readers know that I updated my trading rules recently to incorporate adherence to the majority of my positions being "with the trend." In spite of the agonizing push higher lo these many months, the broad trend (as I define it) still remains down, so I remain mostly bearishly-oriented. Here's a daily chart of the S&P, with the moving averages I use as the basis for this.
I've seen way too many of my lottery ideas zoom higher as I was merely the generator of the ideas instead of the user of them (look at XRM this morning, for instance). I'm moving into more lottery plays. Here are the ten I'm buying now, and the stops I am using:
