Weekly Charts – Exogenous Event Risk
It’s the water that goes first. In natural disasters, the status of clean drinking water moves from a take-it-for-granted commodity to a premium commodity. For the first time in 93 years, the city where I live is in a State of Emergency. Historic flooding here in Calgary and elsewhere in Southern Alberta has affected everyone in some way. Ironically, it is the presence of too much water that has caused people to panic about drinking water. (more…)
