In January 2007, fourteen very, very long years ago, Steve Jobs announced that the company he co-founded would be dropping the word “Computer” from its name. It changed from Apple Computer, Inc., the company that had been incorporated thirty years earlier, to simply Apple, Inc. It’s clear that this was the right move, considering how relatively small computers have become to the company:
Today, by the way, was the big day for Apple when they introduced all their new products. Clearly, no one cares.
