When Wozniak and Jobs put together Apple Computer in 1976, their startup capital was about $1,300. To raise that sum, Jobs sold his old Volkswagen bus and Woz sold his HP calculator. And, from such humble beginnings, the most valuable company on the planet was born.
Enough pretending. Enough illusions that I have any idea what I’m doing. Enough misguided notions that I’m smart. I need your help.
I just did my first spread trade. On a scale of 1 (total ignorance) to 10 (some of the people here) I’m probably a 1.5. But I wanted to take advantage of my belief that XLU wasn’t going to go much higher. So I did this:
I sold short 34 contracts of the $65 December Call for $1.29;
I bought 34 contracts of the $66 December Call for .86
Just a very quick post to say that I’ve sold my SPY puts at a fantastic profit and am eyeing the horizontal level you see on the chart for fairly strong support. I will be updating stops and taking profits where appropriate.
