There are a handful of stocks which have the vast majority of the world’s attention. You need only spend a moment at /WSB to see all the teens bragging about their jaw-dropping gains, and I feel that an entire generation of compulsive gamblers is being created at this very moment. Years ago, I noticed that Palo Alto start-up Palantir had taken over my old office back in the days of Prophet.net. These data-scraping upstarts grew and grew, taking over every available morsel of Palo Alto office space, until they finally decided to ditch town and leave California.
