As you can see on Slope’s logo-based earnings calendar, the two biggest energy companies in the country are reporting before the opening bell on Friday.
I didn’t realize how pipsqueak Exxon and Chevron were compared to Aramco, until I saw this diagram (remember, years ago, when PetroChina was the world’s first trillion dollar company? Good times, good times.)
For those of you still holding out hope for XLE to reverse, pre-opening Friday will be important, because XOM and CVX constitute about 50% of the value of XLE all by themselves.
