The mainstream media is always desperate to explain why things are happening in the financial markets. This morning, when the futures were down so hard, MarketWatch came up with this headline:

Radio Shack? RADIO SHACK?!?!?!

Let me put it to you this way: Radio Shack's market cap is ONE-SEVENTH of completely-collapsed and on-its-way-to-$0 Zynga.

So, yeah, I don't think Radio Shack really cuts the mustard in explaining to the unwashed masses why stocks across the board are down.

Testing Significant Support (by Springheel Jack)

ES made a very nice technical low on the 60min yesterday, with a potential W bottom that broke up slightly, but it all fell apart overnight. That looks very weak and ES is now testing the significant support level at 1410. If that breaks the next big support level is at 1388 ES. There is still some positive RSI divergence, but it's wilting, and will be effectively lost on a break below 1410.

Good Moaning

I wanted to put up a comment cleaner, and I decided the James Kirk "I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am" poster would be appropriate. Upon searching Google Images, though, the picture below was one that was offered in the results. Since the Kirk poster often has a jinx effect on me (side note: I haven't been as short as I am right now in YEARS), I have no other choice than to compromise and put up the non-Kirk one. I'm so sorry.
