Slope of Hope Blog Posts

Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. Sharp-eyed Slopers have noticed there’s a new “badge of honor” in the comments section……

Sharp-witted Slopers further concluded that this new badge must denote those who subscribe to the beloved Slope+ service (which, I assure you, keeps this blog up and running).

If you’d like to join this gang for free (well, at least for a month), click here and use the coupon code summertime.  The “e” got chopped off in the image below, but I promise, it isn’t “summertim”. The coupon will only be valid for a few days, so act now! (Particularly since there is a really excellent post packed with great trading ideas that I did this weekend).

I’ve Got a Name

By -

Back on November 10th, I sang the praises of the Quentin Tarantino movie Django Unchained. (YouTube got wise to whoever had posted the whole film and has since removed it). I’ve seen it a couple more times since I did the post, and I like it more each time. There’s one particular clip that I just adore, which is when Django and his partner Dr. King Schultz head out as bounty-hunting partners. It’s got to be one of the best uses of “recycled” music (in this case,  Jim Croce‘s I’ve Got a Name) that I’ve ever seen in a film. Enjoy:
